[ Whole Picture Thinker-Implementer ]

Was talking to someone awhile back in reference to why projects fails from a psychologist pov.

His point is:
"There are three types of thinkers(-doers): Inductive Thinkers; Deductive Thinkers; and Over-Focused Thinkers. ...

There're inductive thinkers who can only see the relationships within their plan many milestones ahead. ... In most cases, most ppl can only see two to three milestones at a time. Not understanding the outcome until the end. ... They are great in logistics in a limited sense not a visionary.

There're also deductive thinkers who can only define outcomes and focuses on that, but can't see the detailed relationships to getting to there. Nor do they care. ... They are visionary who sucks in ["whole path"] logistics.

Finally there are the over-focused thinkers-doer's are those that focuses on their milestone and nothing else. ... Most of the time, they are a one trick pony who sucks in logistics and long term vision. Can't do anything else. ... The masses are like that

###
Those who can do all three are usually world class Go players. In GO, they are called Whole Board Thinkers.

Q: So, which type of thinker are you?
