Another Gem of a Book.
I was referred to this good book on 36 Strategems by Mark McNeilly - The Art of the Advantage: 36 Strategies to Seize the Competitive Edge by Kaihan Krippendorff
This book's fantastic. Found a few minor [opps!] in which there's is a mixup of Pinyin romanization with the Wales-Giles. The comparision between Chinese military historical scenarios & Western business scenarios are fantastic.
Also, the comparison between Daoism and Western Thinking is concise and clear.
A great playbook on how international corporations compete against each other through its use of preparation and deception and roundabout but slightly subtle applications of Daoist principles of Opposite Polarity, Yielding, Going with the Flow and Countering w/ Indirectness.
Could say more. However, might ruin the fun of reading the book.
Recommend it very highly to all readers especially those who are into the reading of 36 Strategems. A lot of test cases on how to apply each of the 36 stratagems in business scenarios. The brevity and clarity of each example is what makes this book a "5 Star" item.
