Sunzi's Six Principles

This Cardinal can't believe ppl who reads Sunzi Art of War (AoW), claimed to remember all 350+ lines of Sunzi essay and master those concepts it within 90 days. And then there are those experts who tries to rewrite it to a specific niche and claims it's the Dao of Strategy.

The secret to mastering Sunzi AoW arsenal of concepts is knowing and understanding the following six grand principles in the broadest sense.

This perspective allows the implementer to contend in any arena of competition.

A few believers practices it, most don't understand it.

These Six Principles is a slight revision of Mark McNeilly's Six Principles:

1. Win All Without Fighting: Achieving the Objective Without Destroying It

2. Avoid Strength, Attack Weakness: Striking Where the Opposition Is Most Vulnerable and when they least expect it.

3. Deception and Foreknowledge: Winning the Information War by Maximizing the ["Power of Information"] to your vantage.

4. Speed and Preparation: Moving Swiftly to Overcome Resistance

5. Shaping the Enemy: Preparing the Tactical Strategy to Master the Competition

6. Character-Based Leadership: Providing Effective Leadership in Turbulent Times

Highly recommend the reading of McNeilly's books [Sun Tzu and The Art of Business] and [Sun Tzu and The Art of Modern Warfare] as a good introd to Sun Tzu. Other recommended translations are: Ralph Sawyer's version of ["The Art of War"] and Roger Ames's The Art of Warfare.
