Best Practice (6): Strategize Geometrically

The secret to good planning is to strategize geometrically from start to finish.

The first is: define the grand goal

The second is: define the direction to reach the grand goal

The third is: establish the path of least resistance.

Thinking visually is the basic skill that enables one to do this.

###

/// How to organize and plan tactically.

Phase 1: Organizes each category of work in a separate sheet of paper. (Like to use Mind Mgr as my tool. This stage is called [Staging your Specific (Tactical) Objectives] (aka. milestone)]

Phase 2: Outlines then organizes the tasks for each Specific Objective in terms of priorities (A, B & C) and approaches.

Phase 3: Develops a master list that prioritizes each category of work (from phase 1).

Phase 4: Keep the top 5 project lists on the clipboard. The rest is in the playbook.

Phase 5. Review all of the lists at the end of the day.

Phase 6. Inserts the new "A" tasks into the day planner.

Outline the tactical tasks for each day. and then categorize it in terms of priority A , B, and C. Always compare, contrast and calculate for the highest net value.

Rule: Focus on the target while mindfully aware of your surroundings.

"Examine the Active Gameplan" Approach:
When planning one's daily tasks, examine if your specific action specifically positively match the current objective and the completion of another task in another category of work. This action requires patience, intelligence and discipline.

This Cardinal spreads his project task lists (in a mindmap format) out on a clear table esp. on a quiet and isolated setting. ... On the top of the table are the Priority A stuff (colored in Urgency red). .. The next level below are the Priority B (colored in yellow). .. The next level after that are the Priority C stuff (colored in green) . ...

The professional spends his early morning and late evening viewing, studying and optimizing his complete gameplan.

The amateur concentrates on completing the moves that gets them closer to completing their specific objective. While the professional focuses on a multi-focus tactical move that expedites the completion of their specific objective while fulfilling another step within another specific objective. The bottom line is that the amateurs are the tacticians while the rare fews are the world class professionals.

Good luck and have a good week.
