"Subjugate the Dominant Paradigm" --- A strategic guideline used in the office of John McLaughlin when he was the Acting Director of the CIA (2002-2004).

What's the Dominant Paradigm (D/P)?
The current cause of the mindset. Change the root cause and everything will change. All about being defining D/P and being consciously aware of the ["speed of change"].
The challenging part is understanding ["what's the Dominant Paradigm"]. Regardless of the current trends and changes, there's a dominant paradigm that prevails in most settings.
By connecting the target's to the "Maslow hierarchy of needs and wants" and then to the Sanji(s) principle, one understands the Dominant Paradigm for that specific cycle.
The consummate strategist rule is: ["Everyone might know the general paradigm. But the professionals knows the circumstances and exceptions."]
Be aware of the constant and dynamic variables.
Ensure the constant variables favor you by understanding its cycles.
Alter the dynamic variables to your advantage before the micro sanji cycle shifts the direction of its motion.
Play the game w. full conscious awareness and prevail!
The general approach to subjugate the D/P is to change the rules.
Influence the opposition to play a different game than the one they planned for.
The 2nd specific objective of "Subjugating the Dominant Paradigm" starts by finding the critical path. A geometric road of least resistance.
Thus, what is of supreme importance in war is to attack the enemy's strategy; Next best is to disrupt his alliances; The next best is to attack his army. The worst policy is to attack cities. Attack cities only when there is no alternative.
- - - from ["Griffith's interpretation of Sun Zi AoW, Chapter 3- Offensive Strategy"]
Where the Sun Bin essay emphasizes on targeting the opposition's mind, their beliefs and finally their actual physical position in that order.
When a strategist isn't consciously aware of the variables, the understanding of tactical steps isn't enough. (Knowing what're real events and coincidences is another topic)

["The Dao of the Consummate Strategist"]
When one can indirectly ["subjugate the dominant paradigm"] with the least amount of resistence. outsiders might consider it to be an act of divinity and trickery.
fyi- When defining the dominant paradigm, the Cardinal uses Mindjet's Mind Manager as his favorite strategic planning tool. He has a template that defines what's the dominant paradigm. If you are interested in the template, enter a comment and your e-mail address. It will be send to you.
